I wish there was a Darklands type of mod for IceWind Dale2.....even though I never finished the original Microprose game I really liked the unique atmosphere of wandering (aimlessly at times) around between old German cities offending witches sabbats and raubritters and collecting relics. Praying saints was an interesting concept particularly on the saint's day. And they even had a few dragons to slay.
Most of the IWD2 game portraits and some of the locations already have a medieval German feel to them. Then again BG2 has a reputation factor which was an important part of Darklands. NPCs also a played a part. |
