It's not that it's bad, it's just not as good as BG1 or 2, or even IWD1.
I know the mods will cry out "But that's what it's meant to be!" and they'll be right, but for me it's too ahem, Linear !.
I like more choice of where to go next etc, like the Baldurs games.
I enjoyed what I did play of IWD2 but I didn't finish it and won't ever touch it again, unlike all the other Blackisle games, so why not sell it?.

Yup, i found that out the minute i laid my hands on IWD 2. Actually i loved the first BG 1 where you can actually roam around the woods and the map and encounter all the sub quests while along the way completing the big ones. The second BG2 , well that was kinda of lame spending time in the city . I didnt like city ads in the first place, i loved the out doors. I'd wished they would make another BG1 again. Loved to play that over and over again.

Totally agree Dmouse, that's what made the game special for me.

I think, thats why i keep buying these games. I am hoping that maybe one day, i will find another BG1 again and i can roam the world over. I really didnt like paying for online games where there was a monthly subscription. Call me cheap but sometimes i love playing by myself and roaming the world free heheeh.

I honestly tink bg1 has the best content but i love the game rules (3rd 3editon) in iwd2 if u take 3rd editon rules and put them in bg1 it would be perfect.i like thigs smaller to like the scren objects and i would like some more powerful weapons but bg1s story and content is the best!

Maybe all of us can pester the game authors to come up with something similar like BG1 but add 3rd edition rules. Its something like watching a movie. The first movie would be the best then the subsequent ones, well lack orginality and sometimes excitement.
