IWD2 crtstal golum!

I'm in Western pass area and came across a crystall golum.Nothing seems to harm him even +1 weapons and spells any help on getting past this guy!! I'm trying to get what I need to repair the airship..Thanks sorry about posting here but have been stuck and still no IWD2 forum.

No need to apologize; it is probably quite frustrating. Unfortunately, I am still in the Shaengarne Ford, but when I get to the Western Pass I'll see what I can discover.
Normally, golems can be hurt by magic weapons, but your +1 weapons are not effective. What kind of weapons are you using? Slashing, crushing, or piercing? Sometimes this can make a difference.

I've got a +1 hammer a +1 flail a couple ow +1 swords and numerous +2 3 arrows not counting various spells nothing does any damage to this guy!!can't seem to get past this area..But I got rained out at work today so I'll be back at it in a few minutes..Thanks for the reply..

Well it seems that the best weapon against them are slings!!And an occasional hammer blow gets in..But boy do you get points for these guys!!4000+

the easiest way to kill them is to drop the rocks on them from above.

you don't get the XP though, but it saves in gold from numerous deaths when trying to kill them

Blunt damage, even if not magical. But have your cleric standing by.

there is another solution : there is a mass with 1*8 hits of flame in the map. you can find it on the shadow warrior which is at the end of the map, right corner near the two priest (after the crystal golem). Kill him, get the mass then use some spells to make your biggest warrior hard enough. cast some creatures, they will be good decoys. then, go on the golem with 3/4 persons (any magic weapon will do the trick) and make nice damage to the golem.

be careful, the map hides another golem, and there is also a big queen helped with priest then the chief of the legion in the middle (with lots of priest).

If you have them Arrows of Impact do a lot of damage to them. My bard did more damage to them than my monk!

Hopped up bullets do the trick too. Make sure you have a good sling.

As they have said Blunt weapons are the only thing that tends to harm them. Thus a monk will be your best figther against them. The way i kill them is I use either my monk or rogue to scout ahead while they are hidden. Then I have my cleric cast summon undead three times and usually get two zombies. I place the zombies in front of my group with teh monk right behind them. I then send my puller (usually the rogue) out to bring the golem back. Pause the game at this point and target the undead on the golem. After they have engaged them target your monk or anyone with the best blunt weaon on the golem adn go to work. Use your remaining party members to take out any adds that might come along. Good luck
