If I go back and talk to Bandoth while carrying Dver's Note, I have the option to ask him about it. He seems to get 'nervous' and says he has to go 'locate' something. He then turns hostile (red) and leaves the room.
Does anyone know what happened there? |

Welcome to Ironworks mcjester
About Bandoth, as far as I can remember you can make him hostile with some dialogues but that's not a good idea. I cant recall whats 'Dver's note' but what you have to bring to him is a Razovine(sic?). You will find it on a corpse in some cave.

Thank you for the welcome!
This happens after I give him the Razovine(sic?), and find the secret door. So I don't think it's related to that. I found Dver's Note in Dorn's Deep in a small area between the Puzzle Room and the Great Forge. It was on a body at the bottom of a staircase. I know the note triggers his reaction because if I drop the note and talk to him, I don't have the same dialogue options. Perhaps this item/reaction was added by the HoW expansion? Oh, well... now I remember the note but I dont think I have gone back to him with it, or perhaps like with some dialogues it depends on INT or CHA and my character didnt have it. so I'm afraid I cant help you .... Anyway, I dont think its anything important, and if your party is evil and you bought everyting you can from him you I suppose its okay to kill him if you want.

Mcjester,
You may have uncovered something new. I don't remember this ever coming up before. Bandoth is not important after you complete the razorvine quest. But his reaction to the note has my curiosity piqued. I wonder if there is another quest reward to be had, here; or if this just adds to the depth of the storyline. What's a party, without a song? Bards ROCK! Party On!! |

Make sure you purchase the summoning spells from Bandoth BEFORE he goes hostile. IIRC, that is the the ONLY place in the game where those particular spells can be purchased.
