repeating movies??.....possible spoiler???

hey!!
i've got a major problem with bg1.
i installed tosc and now if i try and enter the ship on werewolf island it plays the movie and then keeps repeating it!!
the keyboard seems to freeze and nothing seems to work!
it also happens when i try to enter the palace in the city!!
is there anything i can do coz i've tried reloading earlier saves and it keeps happening!!

This is a fairly common bug, unfortunately. The only thing I can suggest is patching your game. I had this bug once, but in was with the "Sunrise/Sunset" movies in BG city. I only had the problem in that one game, and my method of solving it was to simply not be outdoors at dawn or dusk. Unhappily, a solution that simple won't work in this case.

Perhaps you might be able to go into the Baldur.ini file and see which movies have already been played, and turn on the flag for the "Entering Balduran's Ship" movie, so your game won't try to play it.

Aggh... I'm having the same problem with the Vid. for entering the Iron Throne complex. I checked the .INI file and it looked like every other movie there it had the file name and an =1 after it any help would be appreciated. Especially since I can't progress through the game without getting past this film.

I had a problem that was similiar to the repeating movie. If my party was standing outside, and I was on the inventory screen when the dusk/dawn movie played. The movie would always replay over and over. I had to hit ESC many times and finally it would quit. It actually was quite funny that only if those circumstances were meet would it happen.

News Flash: I've heard that the repeating movie problem is caused by too many quests being open at the same time: This eats up the limited number of variables that the game can use, and makes for no end of trouble. I was talking (via Email) with a guy that said he had the same problem, but downloading the ToSC patch fixed it: It allots more memory space to be used for variables.
