I have a problem! When i have beaten the big deamon in ugloths beard something strange hapens. A ghast apears and kills the character with the lowest hp total. Last time i tryed it apeared and smashed coran in to tiny bits. at that time coran had 68 hp. plz help anyone it is realy frustrating

One of Aec'Letec's nastier attacks is his Death Gaze--if you fail your Save vs. Death (or Spells, or whatever), you get a little icon added to your portrait, an icon that looks like a cobra to me. If you pause the game and take a look at that character's Record screen, the text next to the little cobra icon says, "Dying."
That's not good. A couple of rounds after Coran failed his Save against the Death Gaze, he turned into the Ghast, an effect which cannot be reversed. You can, however, save Coran's life, IF you hit him with a Dispel Magic (or Arrow of Dispelling) before he turns into the Ghast.

Yes, the ghast is actually one of your characters afflicted by the demon's death gaze.
The only way I know of to save the character is to cast dispel magic on him/her - before it's too late.
