Bone Ward Stone

Grr this is annoying.. i have one of the wardstones from this low level of Durlags tower.. i spoke to Durlag friendly ghost, killed spiders, killed ALL the ghouls in the green area, INCLUDING that named one! Gaeril or some "g" name.. and i thought that he was the one i got a bone ward stone from? aparently not.. i went to a throne room, teleperted to the 4 golems, answered a quested and poofed back to in front of Durlag ghost...spoke to (Durlag's wife), still cannot open the door beside her (to the right of her).. i killed a room of 2 "Death guards" or some such.. i can NOT activate that machine which calls for a wardstone

Sorry i forgot the correct names of some of the monsters, but i swear i think i have covered everything, i even did a search for this but most people have found that one easily??

*BONK* to myself-- ok here is what ended up happening..
i HAD the stone but it was unidentified. I do not know how to cheat-give myself an item (Like an identification scroll), so i ended up talking to Isadora (wife name?) and she sent me out of the dungeon, i went ALL the way to HighHedge to buy an ID scroll, and at the same time had the mage there Identify the wardstone AS the Bone ward stone i needed *sigh*.

I have Edwin, level 6 or 7 but for some reason he does not have the ability to memorize a identification spell into his spellbook.

So it added two play-time days to my game but hey i got it done, without cheating. [img]tongue.gif[/img] Now off to do a search on ways to defeat that pesky Demonknight...

LMAO! What a complete waste of the threads we so rarely get started! He answered his own question. Doesn't it hurt when you bonk something? I think most just try to bump, probably less harmful to their heads. Or maybe they all used to bonk which is why they can't answer their own questions anymore, but evergreene just hasn't reached that point yet and...

Slight double-bonk to Evergreene:

You can still use the Bone Wardstone, even if it's Unidentified. If the rock fits in the slot, the rock fits in the slot.

Edwin can't learn Identify because he's a Conjurer--and all Conjurers are permanently barred from learning any spells from the Divination school, of which Identify is one.
