does anybody have any pointers on how i could make a weapon i know how to relatively add things to the weapon but i cant make a item from scratch i dont know what the icon reference codes are???
and the major problem that i have is that i was modifying a quarter staff and i added some wizard and priest spells to it and if i add only three spells they cast fine but if there are more than three once i use one spell it reduces the charges of all spells by one and i want to have at least ten spells on my quarter staff. so if anybody can offer any tips on how to add more that three spells that work individually by themselves with out reducing the other charges i would really appreaciate it. |

I couldn't find out how to make a sword from scrath either...I just heavily modified an existing sword. Don't worry though, the original item will still show up.
I used Hell's Bane (I think that's the name.. you find it in SPOLIER!!!!!! Spolier!!! near the Jacklewares in luremaster)as a template. I made my sword and saved it to the override folder. I was testing it out and came across Hell's Bane....so I wouldn;t worry about jsut using another as a template... |

It is always easier to begin with a pre-made sword (usually a normal version of the sword type you would like) and then add properties accordingly. Trying to make a sword from scratch involves too many variables: do you use 50/50/0 for sword animation or 33/33/33? what should the ground icon be? Those kinds of questions.
For adding spells to items, start by looking at items that already have spells on them; I would suggest either the Wand of Fire or Wand of Armory (they both have 2 effects) and then make the staff like that.
