Hello all,
My Thief is currently level 19 in HoW, and all his skills are over 100%, some even 120%.. I wanted to make him a fighter at level 8 or 9, but I said to myself "Just One More Level, then I'll switch!" well, after that "one" level, the button for multi class was gone! he is pretty useless now, but he never fails at anything! Is there any way i could revert this and still make him a fighter? Thx for all the Help! [ 02-25-2002: Message edited by: Lopadamus Flimbog ] |

Well dualing at L19 is too late in my opinion. It would take an extremely long time to regain your thieving skills. One thing you could do is go back to an old save game and export your Thief at a younger level, say L10 or whatever level you are satisfied with your skill points. Then inport the young Thief into your current game replacing the L19 one and dual him over. It shouldn't take too long for the young Thief to regain the thieving skills since your party will be gaining tons of experience relative to his level.

The only option that would really help is "Dalekeeper", which is a game editor available on the Ironworks website. To make it NOT a cheat just keep the experiance the same. Is your thief a human? Must be to dual. Also remember that the thief skills will not be available until the fighter level is one level higher than the thief level. I'm not sure what the game does if you edit the char. to dual, you can't set levels with the editor. You may have to re-build using the editor I'll have to try it and get back to you.

Good news and bad news... did some checking and dualing.
Multi-class is a piece of cake with "Dalegate" it just distributes the XP between the two classes. Dualing, however, is a little more complicated XP doesn't get spread right (for levels), and the minimum fighter stats must met which is easy too, just lose a wisdom pt add a strength pt if necessary (total pts remain the same-just as if you were rolling the char again). If you want the details or want me to dual your char. let me know. [ 02-25-2002: Message edited by: Rolper ] |
