After fighting some of the barbarian guards who were left to
kill me after their leader left, my party returned to Lonely Wood and to freshen up and then returned to the barbarian camp to confront Wylfdene. After several visits to the camp, to Lonely Wood to rest periodically, we killed all the barbarians and then proceeded to the Burial Isle to rescue Hjollder. We found him there and went to the Gloom Frost and saw the seer and received the mirror. Now, upon returning to the barbarian camp, Hjollder wants to kill us. Am I now stuck in the Great Frozen North, unable to complete either IWD or HoW? I could still do Luremaster, though. Actually, I've gone back to a previous save and imported my characters so I wouldn't have completely wasted my time in this quest. I just would like to know if there is a way to continue this scenario and if its happened to others (confronting Wylfdene seems a logical thing to do on the face of it, especially after he's tried to have you killed!). I'm now in Luremaster (having found I needed to to do it before finishing HoW). Thanks Sethos |

Spoiler...
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . You should not have killed all the barbarians. That is why the shaman is trying to kill you now. I hope you have a save from before you killed them all. If you don't you will have to start all over again or find someone with a saved game file. There are several tribes of barbarians in the camp. Not all are evil. ------------------ ![]() The line between good and evil is razor sharp. Be careful of misteps, lest you find yourself spitted upon your own blade. SPOILER
. . . . . . . Instead of killing those barbarians as they escort you outside of camp turn to Anglyn (sp?) and begin reasoning with him. Take the nice conversation, the reasoning conversation. You just might get released and some added experience. Also, after returning from Burial Isle go to Gloomfrost, complete it (make sure you talk to Tiernon at length!) and then return to the Barbarian camp. Confront Wylfdene, a major battle will ensue, but DO NOT accidently hit a blue circled barbarian with either a weapon or a spell because then they all turn red and you're back into the same fix. |
