Announcing the Song and Silence mod

The Gibberlings Three are pleased to announce the Song and Silence mod!

Song and Silence is a WeiDU mod which seeks to expand possibilities for players of Bards and Thieves in BG2 or BG1 Tutu. Base classes and kits are modified, new kits are added, and there are even new items to discover!

Is BF Tutu that thing that makes one big story of all the games together?

This sounds nifty. Bard has always been my favourite class, especially for RP and this new mod I am sure I shall enjoy greatly, and the new merchant sounds great too.

BG Trilogy is what you're talking about. Tutu is BG1 with BG2's engine.

Yes, Tutu is BG1 in BG2's engine.

As for Thieves, they will not be *only* lawful good, rather they will now be able to pick lawful good if you want to. Just opening up options.

Various people have strong feelings on the LGness of thieves - if you want a LG thief this mod will let you play one; if you don't then the mod doesn't force you to be one. Everyone wins. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I assume he's talking about this. It's an online game. Pretty fun, if you ask me. [img]smile.gif[/img] (I'm pretty sure he got the BF from Battlefields, one of the servers to play it on).

So, when does this new mod come out? I cant wait to upgrade my bard. Will it still work through the game or will I have to start anew?

Actually I have just finished work on what will probably be the first version of the mod; I just want to do a little more testing and tweak a few things. [img]smile.gif[/img] So expect it early in the new year (e.i. early Jan). Though please don't hold me to that!

Hmmm, new game... If you want a new kit you will have to start again. However, the bardic store *should* work ok in a new game or save, as should the thief dual-wielding tweak. I also add some new items to Roger the Fence in SoA and Black Lily in Tutu, these will show up if you have not already visited those stores.
