I know Cleric/rangers do wonders for this with hardiness, DOE and shield of faith. But is the barbarian not able to achieve high enough physical resistance as well, since he gets it naturally?

Barbarian:
DoE: 20% Crushing, Piercing & Slashing resistance. Yellow Dragon Armor: 50% Piercing & Missile resistance.(Tactis Mod) Belt of Inertial Barrier: 25% Missile resistance. Roranch's Horn:50% resistence to blunt weapons. At level 20 he gains 20% resistance to slashing and piercing IIRC... Did I forget anything? |

Yes, it's almost the same.
20% barbarian at level 20 + Hardiness 40% + DOE 20% = 80 % ADD: and C/R has Ironskins (and a lot of them - hint: Wondrous Recall) so he really doesn't care unless in some very bad situations. [ 09-19-2003, 02:41 PM: Message edited by: Leslie ]

I think every playable class has some ways to deal with the Physical Resistance, albeit it temporary for some of the classes (such as the mage)
