After wondering some time i just can't make up my mind. I played paladin before and recently a ranger(slayer of the eye - best tdd ranger kit i think), but it's just not wright, cause i lose my paladinhood/rangerhood if i choose the evil way during the Hell Trials. I can deal with being evil (there is always the tdd spell "convesion"-to the light ), but not with losing my status. So i am trying to decide on a pure fighter.
First of all i'm not sure if i should choose between a fast slicer (kensai, drow batlle monger)with no armor or a plain fighter(berseker, drow warrior, frost dweller). What do you guys recommend?

What is tdd? Has somebody created a drow without making it totally overpowered?

I've never played TDD, but my choice for a warrior in SoA/ToB is usually a dwarven barbarian. Barbarians get the d12 for HP, and a dwarf can have 19 CON, giving you a huge potential for HP total. Plus, then they rage, it pumps their STR and CON--which adds extra HPs and pushes you into the CON based regeneration range (combine with DuHM for even more CON). The immunities to Hold, Fear, Charm and Level Drain during Rage are also handy.

He can't get more than two profs in weapons, but you're used to that with pallys and rangers. To make up for not wearing plate, I get him a good shield and use either axes or a nice dwarf only hammer for ranged attacks. If you play through SoA and have bonus merchants, there's a flail perfect for this character (has AC bonus and resistance to damage--which addes to the natural resistance of the class)

I remember reading about tdd ages ago now I check it out. I like the looks of the drow, but they do seem a bit overpowered with the magic resistance. Checking over the classes again, if you want a really strong character I would go for the Drow Warrior or the Amazon. Nothing else in the fighter type section stood out too much for me.

I've never tried TDD either. Is it compatible with the Wiedu Mods? What I see seemed pretty interresting, although some of the spells I checked out seemed extremely overpowered. I'm mostly interrested in seeing the new quests, so, do you guys think it's any good?

Why don't you try a Half-Orc barb instead of a Dwarven one? The Half-Orc can have the same CON as well as 1 more STR and DEX making for a stronger character.

Indeed, Lothar. However, the half-orc won't be able to use the dwarven-only hammer mentioned previous, which is one of the best unmodded, non-ranged ranged ( ) weapons in the game. Thus, a half-orc will be hampered with the lack of ranged support that a dwarf will have no problem with in SoA. Ultimately though, the half-orc will triumph because of the 2 extra stat points and the use of K'Logaroth, which whops the dwarven hammer anyway.

It seems a bit unbalanced to me, but I haven't played it only, read abvout it. Some of the kits and spells are nice, they just add roleplay and aren't overpowered at all, but things like drow warrior seem over the top.

I noticed that a lot of the descriptions had bad english in, is this fixed for tdd?
