While I was laying waste to the occupants of the marching mountins I came across the magic golem. knocking him out using fists is easy, but he keeps coming back. So I summoned a skelaton warrior and stuck him in the corner to keep the golem occupied and prevent any interfearance while I cleaned out the rest of the badpeople. after the clean up I went to unlock the passage to the next room and there was the blasted golem again. So having few spells left I cast a kobald to occupy him.

Enter kobald the dog/kangaroo crossbreed weakling

Enter super golem....

Wait whats that! a dead magic golem! after one hit from the kobald! WTF! How did that happen? and how come my party of six trained killers can not do the same?

Did you read Elminster's Ecologies?

This guy is vulnerable only to non-magical weapons. Fists are non-magical, but can never kill anything, only reduce to 1HP and knock unconcious.

The kobolds shortsword is also non-magical, and even a kobold can deal 1HP damage in 1 round, with a little luck.

The obvious exception being the fists of a monk.

Next time just equip your heroes with some conventional weapons and the magic golem will fall faster than you can say "Volo".

By this point in the game, the monks fists are probably going to be +3 if not +4. Which leaves the monk in the same boat as everyone else, find a mundane weapon or have this golem following you around. Unfortunately, Bioware provided non-magical weapons wherever magical golems or other immune to magical weapons enemeis are to be found.

What's so unfortunate about that? Shouldn't you be happy that they're providing you with weapons to kill the golems?
