Ascension Final Battle Question

Minor Spoiler about who is in the final (or near final) battle

I'm battling all the Baal Spawn in the throne room (Ascension) and have figured out how to harm most of them, but Yaga Shura (sp?) is only taking 1 hp damage for every hit I score on him. And, I cannot seem to breach this, maze him, or do anything. What am I missing? How do I damage him? Magic only with no physical attacks? Or is there a way to dispel his physical protection?

He has 99% resistance to everything, except to Cold, in which he has 50% resistance. Good luck going against him.

So, I guess reducing his magic resistance through 3 lower resistances wouldn't do much because he would still have 99% resistance to the damage from any magic I would throw at him (except cold)?

Yaga-Shura has no Magic Resistance. One Harm followed by anything will take him down quickly and smoothly.

Good weapons against Yaga Shura are also Flail of Ages and Dragon's Breath (halberd) which both inflict elemental damages. 1 point of damage for each elemental damage - so with FOA you hit him for 6 damage and I think with halberd for 5.

Two fighters with GWW or improved haste ....

If you don't have Harm, I reckon the katana added by the Tactics Mod, Sanchuudoku, will be the most effective weapon against him, since it lowers his Acid Res by 25% per hit and also deals pretty heavy acid damage.

Though maze and imprisonment should work right ?
I once Imprisoned Improved Yaga-shura with my maxed-out Kensai-mage because I was feeling bored ... wasnt in the final battle though, but still..

Imprisonment does work, but Melissan has access to quite a few Freedom spells IIRC.

Sendai, IIRC, can also cast Freedom from a scroll.

Wow, this is definitely a difficult battle (as it should be at the end). I tried harm through Jaihera (sp?), but she missed with her attack! Anyone know what Yaga-Shira's AC is?

FoA is a good backup, but then I cannot cast Improved Haste on Minsc, who is weilding it, because of the Free Action capabilty FoA enables.
