ToB Ascension HELLLLPPPP!!!! (Spoilers)

Any tips? I can't even get past the first set of battles (the one with Jon and Bodhi)

- How to kill Bodhi *permanently*?
- How to dispel Jon's protection's?
- How can I prevent Imoen from changing into a Slayer and turning red? After killing her, is there any way I can get her back into the party? She's my *only* mage!

Piling up my fighters on her never failed for me. Level Drain immunity is mandatory, of course.

Aye... Improved Invisibility + Spell Immunity : Divination... Cheesy bugger!
Bombard him with every AoE spell you have. This will cut right through his spell protections. If he becomes visible, strike with elemental-damage-dealing weapons. Follow the battle text.

- How can I prevent Imoen from changing into a Slayer and turning red? After killing her, is there any way I can get her back into the party? She's my *only* mage!

You can't. Don't kill her - bite your tongue until the effect wears off.

I just played that battle myself actually,.. and I have to agree with hayashi.
My game also has Redemption, but it shouldnt make much difference.

I outright killed all enemies within a few rounds, leaving nothing but Bodhi.
So now I had Balthazar, and three other fighters + an archer + Irenicus + irenicus' simulacrum who is about evenly powerfull all throwing everything they had at her ...

I killed about 5 times, after which Balthazar got bored .. ran off .. chanted something .. came back and kicked her spirit out of her body
( probably that death-strike thing monks can do ...)

But that was just luck, she doesnt want to die any other way

One other question - at the Throne, there are three platforms with pools in them, but the bridge to them is broken. I seem to remember from my first game of BG2 (unmodded ending) that you had to fight some enemies at the pool and "use" the pool to thwart/weaken Mellisan. How do I get the 'brdge' to appear?

You don't do that in ascension.

How to kill Bodhi then? Every time I kill her, she runs away in gaseous form and comes back again, fully healed. Annoying as *@#^&!

You've gotta do a lot of damage, very quickly. Set up your beefiest fighters, GWW, heavy weapons. Or (I haven't tried this) it's possible that simply the Improved Mace of Disruption would work.
