I just went on Amazon, and saw that Bioware is now offering BGI- Chapter 1 & 2 as a separate passage. Don't get me wrong, I finished BGI a REAL long time ago, and wouldn't play it again on a bet, since I feel BGII is so superior, but why would they market such a thing?

I saw that CD in some stores hereabouts too. I think it's for demo-type purposes. They're selling it really cheap, in hopes that someone will pick it up, get hooked on the game and buy the full version, I guess.

I'm not sure why I should answer you since you're obnoxiously dissing a game that I really like. But I didn't find what you're refering to in the 12 results I got from a search for Baldur's Gate and Amazon. Maybe you can provide the URL? Once upon a time there was a demo for BG that consisted of only the first chapter or two yet included NPCs that you wouldn't find until in later chapters in the full game. Maybe that's what it is.

Yep, you shouldnt be dissing the game on this board.

Anyway, surely BG1 is a available at low prices today so why bother trying to sell the demo?????

I don't understand, who's dissing the game? Attalus? Or me? In both cases I haven't the slightest clue of what's been said to dis BG1.

He didnt diss it really, he just said that he preferred BG2. It's his opinion, leave him to it.

He most definitely is dissing it, Lavi. He's saying he doesn't like BG1 and I wouldn't bother playing it because BG2 is so superior to it, and is basically asking why are you all wasting your time playing it repeatedly? Come on, that is just obnoxious. Maybe he didn't intend for it to come off that way and is genuinely baffled as to why anyone would replay it. But still.
