Well met!

This is my first post so I hope you can forgive me for my lack of etique, but here goes. I am a huge Forgotten Realms fan and have been playing the BG Saga for quite some time using the same character. I have installed the X-cap removers for each of the installments until now. I have just installed ToB. I am looking forward to playing it, but my characters were all in the 5million XP range. When I loaded them into ToB it dropped them to 2.5 million. Honestly... That sucked. I cant seem to figure out how to get them back up to where they were. The ShadowKeeper wont allow me to alter those characters already imported into ToB. Can anyone help me. I am not very good with any of the editors that aren't very simple.

I did try to search for this topic but I couldnt find anything. Thank you for your help in advance.

I'm pretty sure Baldurdash has an xp cap remover for ToB. Here's the web address without all of the fancy html coding.

Hi Portana, first a very welcome to Iron Works
As for Shadowkeeper, you sure you have the latest version? I've completed BG II ToB several times now and re-created my pnp characters using ShadowKeeper with no problems untill I lost all saved games and had to re-create my party. When I tried to do too much at once. Game wouldn't properly load and froze every time. Then I did one character and only a few items at a time, save, load ToB and start edited game, save and edit the newly saved game. A bit of a hastle but it worked.

I think what you're saying is that you want all your characters back to
+/- 5 million XP. A lvl cap editor isnt going to do that . .and neither is Shadowkeeper, since it only allows you to alter the Main char.

The best way to go is using CLUAConsole .. a debug program within the game, with it you can summon about anything, also XP.

How to operate:

Open -Baldur.ini- in your SoA/ToB directory
( f.e. C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA )

add : " Debug Mode=1 " under -Program options- ( and above [alias] )

Now, after loading a save-game, press and hold -Ctrl- .. and then press the spacebar. A writable line should appear on the bottom of the screen.

Select the character of whom you want to alter the XP and write in that line:
( EXACTLY the same ):

CLUAConsole:SetCurrentXP("5000000")

There are no spaces in between, and mind the CLUAC .. S .. C .. XP ..
those letters have to be capitals.

This way you set the XP of the selected char. to 5000000 once you press -enter-

Refer to - Cheats built into the game - on this website if its not clear :
http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/bald...2/cheats.shtml

Hope it helpz

Uh, come again? Therss a slider under the portrait that allows you to alter any character. ALthough CLUAConsole is easier to use if youve already enabled it.
Oh an I think you need a ";" after the command as well, but this will be given on the cheat page.

So if I finish SOA with my Solo Barbarian and I go to play TOB. I will no longer be a level 40 Barbarian. SAy it is not true. Or do I just import my charcter to solve this problem.

People, there are two very important lessons here. Read The ******* Manual. And if in doubt, click it.

Should be fine. My lvl 40 solo monk transferred with no problems at all. Im not sure in what circumstances XP gets reduced, but I think that importing them might do it. Hell, I dunno. Try it and if you get level drained use SK or CLUA to get them back.
