so youre trying to defeat that sendai with magic ha? well before you encounter her in flesh and blood, she'll summon (or whatever term you use with that) some of her alterego with different weapon preferences. they are not that easy to defeat but with enough wits and strategy you can defeat them in no time. after defeating those nasty look alike, sendai will show up with some company. she is protected with great magic so be ready with those magic pierce and some sorts, if keldorn is with you hack her up with the carsomyr +6 and shell end up with thin protection where you can cast your pricking magic, enjoy!!!!

No Project Image? Hmmmm... this will be tricky. The fight against Sendai is about endurance, and it will be very hard to win against her with only one spell rack.

Leave about 2 Skeleton Warriors at the entrance to handle the incoming Drow warriors. Use Minsc to help them if necessary, but try not to. When Sendai is in Mage form, sic a Planetar on her. Keep Skeleton Warriors as far away as possible from Sendai in Mage form, as she will Death Spell them( Planetars are immuned to Death Spell).

If you have the Cloak of Mirroring however, pass it to Minsc and let him tank Sendai in Mage form, while the Planetar helps the Skeleton Warriors deal with the Drow warriors.

Do not use your spell counters until you fight her last and true form. When that happens, barrage her with everything else you have, like a Spell Trigger with 3 Lower Resistances and an on-the-spot Chain Contingency with 3 Abi-Dalzim's Horrid Wiltings.

Darn, looks like i will have to import my SoA sorcerer and do it all over again cause i played a new char in ToB, well i'll see what i can do, better do the rest of the stuff and get Minsc and Keldorn up a few levels, then i'll see what i can do, yeah the worst thing is that there is no exit once you enter, thats what makes it difficult cause in some really tough battles i clear enemies patch by patch........... but if there is another way, id be thankful to know, Hey Dundee what do you say about scrolls of project image, i can get them in the desert city i guess and one more thing is there any item to improve my spell casting speed in ToB ?

And i dunno why he hasnt maxed out yet, maybe its lvl 25, cant really remember plus i have been soloing till now and i started at lvl. 16-17 wonder if thats a bug or smthin. Im playing normal difficulty btw.

There are only 2 items that decrease casting time.

1) Robe of Vecna: -4
2) Amulet of Power: -1

Scrolls will be good, as that will mean you can summon more than one Planetar at the same time, not to mention much more Skeleton Warriors. You can use the PI illusion to cast Wish too if you have it, and hope for a Rest and Rememorise option.

I prefer starting in SoA, then progress naturally to ToB without importing so that I get to keep all the special abilities from SoA.

Also, there's a tenth level spell out there called improved alacrity. It's kind of a waste for a 9th level spell slot but it decreases casting time in half for 2 rounds i believe. I usually use it with a time stop.

Improved Alacrity does not decrease your casting time. What it does is it removes the pause inbetween spells.

Waste? Ah youth, no apreciation of the finer points of magic.

Time stop + Improved Alacrity + a full rack of Magic Missile + RObes of Vecna + Amulet of Power = Death. Your can shoot off 9 MMs in one round if you have hotkeys set up - thats 45d4+45 damage. And then you have the second round for the survivors.

ALthough there is no legit way (in BG2) to memorise 9 level one spells now I think of it. Ah well, acid arrows and flame arrows work as well.
