A Sorceror can only learn six spells per level. A Mage, which I suspect you meant, can learn a certain amount of spells per level goverend by his INT stat - and if that stats is 18 or higher then he can learn every spell.
Of course, whether you can lay hands on scrolls for every spell is another matter.

Sorcerers can only learn at most five spells per spell level, and cast at most six times per spell level without equipment.

Well a sorcerer could learn all the spells... by cheating... but then again is it really cheating if you are insaine????????

I had a friend who bet me ten dollars his sorceror could beat my cleric/mage in a duel. He cheated so his sorc knew every spell. Turns out that when he clicked on the "Cast Spell button" he needed to wait thirty seconds for all the icons and such to load, and I easily beat him. Sometimes it's best to not cheat. (PS sure he could've used hotkeys, but let's just say he's not the brightest gem in the Temple of Lathander)
