I was just wondering, after being chopped up by 8 assasins ,
( bad card if you dont have detect invisibility and the sort) Is it possible for the cambion ( hard to remember name) to die by selecting himself a very bad card ?? I mean, did he ever have a hard time himself ? , he allways gets off easy when i play the game ![]() Oh, and are there any stats that influence the game ? Wis. or Chr. or something ? Thx for any replies

no - the game is completely random
But you don't have to play - just kill the cambion and his little thiefling friends

I think you never can win the third game, but I'm not sure. I always kill him.

the second time i did it i actually won! I think that it is completely random but i did manage to strip the cambion of all the stuff he had to offer. In the end he just offered a straight swap for the septre (or whatever it is) so that he could get out.
Incidently, anyone know what that septre is for...you cant sell it and it doesnt seem to do anything. |

oh, ok.
I thought that it was more useful that that - i've been carrying it around ever since WK. Judging by its description i sounds reall valuable, but no storekeeper will ever buy it |

Sigh... ...
You have a 25% chance to win either of the first two rounds, so gamble for the Wish scroll and the Spectral Brand. So Quicksave beforehand and use Quickload if you lose. You will always lose the third round, but that is okay. Lend the Cambion the gem, and he will return it to you after he has used it. You gain far more Xp this way than just killing him and his party. You can get the Deck of Many Things by pickpocketing him before you play the third round. Honestly, does everybody stab first instead of finding a peaceful solution? |

He is polite, he actually talks to you instead of charging towards you with weapons raised. He honours his words and keeps his promises. He lightens the mood by wanting to play a game with you.
Really, you meet humans who are far worse than him. Also remember, he wants to go home. He got sucked against his will into Watcher's Keep, and has no intention of running rampant across the material world. Paladins should have no qualms of helping him get off this plane. |
