why is everybody saying that ToB sucks!? i think it was good that there were much more fun battles. i really liked the clash of the titans thing in ToB(fight the boss`s boss`s boss`s boss). Call me crazy but i think ToB is better and funner than SoA. though SoA is still on my top 3 fav list.

Hi uss! I liked TOB alot too, I think alot of us did. I was disappointed about how linear it was, being locked into only TOB map areas and such, but other than that, I had a great deal of fun with it and got my moneys worth IMO

What do you mean, "Everybody?" I've seen only a few people remark that. Most people who have played it are in agreement that while it's very linear, the add-on gives new life to BG2 with its new class, extra abilities and spells, and new NPC. It's well-written, and offers a lot more than IWD's HoW.

The main thing that I have heard people moan about with TOB is that it is more of a hack and slash in that aspect I don't there is much difference to SOA. But I think that it was an excellent end to the Saga, although I was disapointed that you didn't get to duke it out with the big Daddy at the end, Bhaal. But oh nevermind I was happy enough with Demogorgon.

I dont know about everyone else but I loved ToB, thought it was brilliant. Only real dissapoinment was that it ended to quickly, I know it was only an addon but I just wanted to keep on playing, I know there are problems as in there are times when you go up and level and you only gain another hitpoint because it hasnt been graduated properly or the graphic art wasnt as good but I didnt really care when I was playing.

HOW is WWWWAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY better than TOB after you get Trials of the Luremaster. I'm still so POed at the buggers for not letting me drag out the ol' IWD characters into the sequel. Its not really a squel it seems, more of another game completely in an area in which a previous game occured.... erm, yeah, that COULD be misconstrued as a squel but... um... karm, neh?

If you beat ToB more than 4 times it gets boring. SoA was better. I mean like it was like IWD without half the undead!

Do you know what I liked about TOB?
FOR ONCE SOMEONE TOOK THE MAIN CHARACTER SERIOUSLY!!!! In soa, you get attacked by street tugs, beggars,... and no one ever care about you being the child of the god of murder, or being so much powerfull as you are. I thought your heritage did not get talked about enough. In TOB, at least you get some respect. The part I liked the most is the lich in the Graveyard of the Monk town. At least he knew you where powerfull and did not try to kill you for no reason.

for replay value, even though TOB is shorter, i like it a lot more than SOA
main reason: IRENUCUS' DUNGEON! who else hates that place? two boring speeches by irenicus that we all know by heart from hearing it so many times, and its so hard to get through when youre soloing on insane at a low level...ive seen that place so many times, i start characters in TOB because i dont want to go back too bad TOB is so short...i still love it though |
