Aec' Letec

How can you kill this beast!!

My current party (mulitplayer):

Paladin (swords)
Ranger/Cleric (mace)
Fighter/Thief (bow, dagger)
Fighter/Mage (bow, staff)
Ranger (bow, halberd)
Bard (bow)

I need some tips. Nothing I've tried has worked. The deathg aze is vicious.

Two Clerics, a fighter, Fighter/mage, Fighter/Thief

Pause immediately. One Cleric (NPC) casts Animate dead, the other Cleric calls up some ghasts (Lev 5 spell) they paralize!. The Mage Dire Charms one of the priests and the fighter smacks one to one side and the thief takes out one on the other side. You have to kill all the priests as soon as possible, big bad nasty shifts to the nearest priest body if he's in trouble, focus on that first. Keep you group back if possible and keep calling for any help you can (basicly cannon fodder to keep'em occupied). Use distance weapons he's magic resistant.

Rolper, chances are he doesn't have that party set-up, so chances are, your tactics wont work!!

Ok, I thought he was the hardest fight on the game.

Save outside his basement. Send your theif in, stealthed. Walk to the back of the room. It is possible, with a stealthed theif and an invisible mage (ring of invisibility), to kill every monk apart from the one next to the stairs in the centre. When all of them are dead, go outside.

Quicksave.

Cast all your buffer spells, Haste, Chant, Defensive Harmony etc etc, and then drink a load of potions (giant strength, potion of power etc...).

Send your men in, and immediately kill the last monk once he has resurected Aec'Letec. Then, just kill the beast. Attack with everything, (get your cleric to use wand of heavens) and get your mage to use wands.

Now, deathgaze. Potions of Mirrored Eyes can protect you I believe, so 6 of these would be nice!!!

Who is Aec' Letec? I never heard of him but I'm only on my way through for the first time.

If you have Tales of the Sword Coast you'll bump into him, otherwise he doesn't exist [img]tongue.gif[/img]

HIGHLIGHT TO READ:
Aec'Letec is the last boss of TotSC, Sarevok's equivalent if you will. He can only be accessed once you have finished Durlags' Tower (by beating the Demonknight, collecting the dagger) and returing to Ulgoth's Beard. Then Aec'Letec will be quite easy to er,, BUMP INTO!!!

Simple as that!

I soloed a fighter and smoked him. If you have someone who wields a bow, head to bg and buy some arrows of detonation. Cast all your defensive spells and stuff and bum rush them. but make sure Detonating arrows kill all the monks. They die real easily. Thats what i did...
