Improved Bardsong on my Jester

Will improved bardsong remove my Jester's ability to confuse enemies, thus reducing him to the low standards of a normal bard? (jk about the low standards.) There should be improved confusion, or an area domination effect. Someone should make a mod like that for me. (I chose Jester due to a party of 3 people.)

Your Jester's song will improve with level in ToB, and at level 20 it'll confuse, stun and slow enemies. (Probably one save at +4 for each effect, but I dunno, never played one that far.)

Yes, choosing Improved Bard Song will kill your Jester's song. It's a flaw IMHO; you ought to be able to right-click on the Bard Song icon to pick a song from your song-list.

You mean like in HOW? I liked the improvements done to IWD in HOW quite abit... I wish thieves had the same superdodge thing. That was HEAVY!

Although I COULD select many different songs if I wanted, I of course selected War Chant of the Sith. lol What ELSE is worth using?

Bards gain these abilities after reaching level 20 right?? What kind of abilities they gain?? I beat the game as a fighter and know I'm restarted with a skald. if you can gain this ability (improved bard song) so what's the point of playing a skald? blade loses its disadvantage right? (u know their bard song does not become better with levels) but if you take this ability so your blade is better than a skald right??

Exactly Zoltan,

The blade can get the improved bardsong which makes up for the poor song that didn't improve with levels, and the blade has half the normal pick-pocketing rating, where the Skald has a quarter. The only advantage of a Skald therefore is the normal lore rating (the blade only has half), but by high levels, the blade can identify anything anyway, so in ToB, a blade beats a Skald hands down.

If you're playing with a party then yes since you'll get massive attack/damage bonuses. I played a solo Blade, so I obviously couldn't use the song and attack at the same time. Apparently Haer'Dalis can play the song whilst fighting.....
