Is it worth to put 5 points in spear class, i mean in bg 2 you can't even get a decent spear(according to me), the pest one i found was spear of withering or something like that, i mean it's good until you reach chapter 5, so is it still worth of having your spear mastery in TOB?

There is a +6 Spear in ToB. The Impaler +3 is an awesome weapon too.

Thanks man, and by the way, are you the guy that vanquished demogorgon with a sorc alone? If it's you, you rock, man i mean, demogorgon is probably the hardest monster in the game, or is the end boss harder? I'm only in lvl 3 of watcher's keep so i can't know yet.

You're absolutely correct, Dundee. Impaler is a serious kick-butt spear!!! Let's face it, any spear that does 14-19 HP of damage is nothing to sneeze at!!!

Of course, I'm a big believer in weapon and shields, but the Impaler is one of the better 2H weapons in SoA.

Heh, you flatter me.

I am not done yet with my solo Sorcerer, but I do intend to complete the game with him by the end of this week. Only 3 more major battles to go.

Nothing to flatter, you're good, and that's it, i mean, solo!! I know that there were other players who did this, but 6 abi-zail horrid wilting on demogorgon, damn the beast must have had a lot of pain, and by the way, what lvl is the maximum you can get with Tob, with exp cap remover, and what's the best lvl 9 spell, no protective, i mean a damaging spell like cloud kill or fire ball, and Dundee, you rock!!!!

The Xp cap under ToB is 8,000,000 Xp. Fighters, Clerics and some classes can attain level 40. Rangers/Paladins, level 34. Druids/Mages, level 31.

The best level 9 spell IMHO is Time Stop.

I must say, having played around with it a bunch with my F/D, Ixil's Spike does rock.

Probibly more so in the hands of a figher than my good ol' trusty F/D, but just start up a whirl wind, whack em around a bit, then do a victory dance as they die.

... Its also fun to be different... Using Spears is quite a way to differentiate yourself.

Ok here is some spear location spoilers to maybe help out...

S
P
O

Spear +1, Halcyon. (adds 1 electrical damage): In Bohdi's dungeon, when you enter the area south of the spider nest. Go down to the first intersection in that area, and head east... Its in a trapped coffin along the wall.

Spear +2, Unicorn Horn. (Immune to charm/hold, +3 sv Death): In the troll lair in the druid grove woods... In the SW corner that is. This is a nice spear and you are able to get it early on...

Spear of Withering +4 (adds 4 poison damage): Buy it from a merchant in the town square of Ust Natha

Ixil's Nail +4 : Found in a pool on level 5 of watchers keep as I recall... Get Ixil's Spike +2 (the dagger) off of watchers keep level 2, combine them and umm 5000 gp at cespenar... and Poof you have the spear Dundee shows above... Except it also has perminent free action, which the screen shot cut off...

Have fun

Well, there is a Xp cap remover that allows all classes to go to level 40 safely. That is the safest one IIRC.

The following is just my style, others may choose differently.

2 Hardiness
1 Whirlwind
1 Power Attack
1 Critical Strike
1 Smite
Rest in Greater Whirlwinds
