Help, Melissan won't brief me

OK, I just killed Gromnir, and Melissan won't come and brief me like she usually does. I hung around, picked up the stuff, identified, wandered outside, talked to the fake hsrlot, and finished that quest, also sold my stuff and wandered back. Did I do anything wrong?

Are you sure you killed everybody? Melissan only comes when everybody is killed. Check downstairs to see if any of them panicked and retreated downstairs.
