The one i like best,is the angurvadal(+5),single-handed sword,or the runehammer(+5),that is if you didn't take along weapons from BG2,like the crom faeyr.

I was planning on using a shield. It seems to me that using a shield with Greater Whirlwind will leave a low AC with a high number of attacks. I'm playing through SoA right now with the intent of playing ToB. I'm trying to decide what to invest my proficiencies in. I'm leaning towards Katana (Hindo's Doom + Celestial Fury). Thoughts???

My favourite 2-handed weapon is Angurvadal+5.

The two best 1-handed weapons are (IMHO):
Axe of the Unyielding+5 1d8+5 10% chance of instant kill (no save) with each hit +1 AC Regenerate 3hp/round AND Foebane+5 (bastard sword) 2d4+5, +6 vs undead and other extra-planar creatures +1 to all saving throws Each hit casts Larlach's Minor Drain (1st level mage spell) on target (The value of this does not become apparant until you weild Foebane thru a long battle. I've had Keldorn up over 235hp due to this minor secondary ability of Foebane!!!) |

I like the 22 str/negative plane protection granted by Angurvadal+5 as well as the +1 to saving throws/larloch of foebane.

quote: Angurvadal isn't 2-handed, it's 1-handed. ![]() I still think Crom Faeyr is hard to beat. 25 strength gives you massive THACO and damage bonuses. Another good one is Foebane. The Larloch's Minor Drain ability can give you massive HP bonuses if your THACO is high. |
