Ulgoth's Beard

I damaged my original BG discs, so I bought the Original Saga package and loaded it up. I just finished Candlekeep (ch 7) but I can never seem to get Ulgoth's Beard to show up. Same goes for Durlag's Tower. I try to enter both from all angles, but nothing from the SC are on the map. Any ideas?

I think you need to buy the expansion pack that contians those areas. They were originally sold seperately.

Durlag's Tower shows after you speak to someone in Ulgoth's Beard.....but I don't remember the 'key' to getting to 'Beard. Seems there's at least one thread in here somewhere addressing this problem (if not several threads) so you'll have to look a couple pages back, probably.

Katherine, the Original Saga pack includes the Tales expansion.

If you're trying to get to the ToSC areas in a game that you started BEFORE you installed ToSC, you'll need to run the MCONVERT program that's in your Baldur's Gate directory. This will update your "map" files so that Ulgoth's and Durlag's are visible--and reachable. I had a beast of a time trying to figure this out myself.

You only need to run MCONVERT to update an existing game. All games that you start after installing ToSC will run normally.
