Hi All!
Yesterday I've got ToB and I have some questions about it: 1)If thy play in SoA mode (I want to start from the very begining) will there be some of ToB artifacts too (in shops or some random encounters), or they will be available only in Watchers Keep? 2)My idea is to create a pre-generated party. Is there a lot of NPC (those who can join my party) connected quests in ToB which I will miss? 3)Is anywhere in i-net a table or somth. with a new special abilities? (I have localised version without a manual ![]() 4)Is there some good (>=+2) two-handed swords and axes in ToB. (Please do not spoil me about characeristics and locations, just aprox. number of items) 5)How is Sorcerer at high levels (lvl 30+)? Do he have enaught high level spells by then? I will be very grateful for any respond! ------------------ War, war never changes... [This message has been edited by Raver (edited 10-18-2001).] |

SoA will remain the same, you can still get the items from Watcher's Keep while you are in SoA, but it would be better to wait until ToB, so that you can upgrade them too as well. 2)My idea is to create a pre-generated party. Is there a lot of NPC (those who can join my party) connected quests in ToB which I will miss? Beyond romances, NPCs have no sub-quests in ToB, there is one NPC though, who benefits in ToB. It is a she by the way, pretty obvious who, I should think. ![]() 3)Is anyhere in i-net a table or smmth. with a new special abilities? (Please do not spoil me about characeristics and locations, just aprox. number of items) There is one uber-axe and two uber two-handed swords. 5)How is Sorcerer at high levels (lvl 30+)? Do he have enaught high level spells by then? Sorcerers max out at level 31, they last gain a spell at level 31 too; and yes, he/she will have more than enough spells by then. ------------------ If not a Sorcerer casting total oblivion, then a Cavalier meting out justice. Thanx Dundee Slaytern!
I'm happy about NPC's and kind of sad about artifacts (I thought there is more) Oh, and what about long swords? btw. Does anyone know why there isn't any Two-Handed Axes in BG series? There was plenty in IWD. |

No, I think that halebards are closer to spear class, than to axes.

Halberds are technically a cross between pikes, axes and spears
![]() You'll be delighted to hear there are some quite frankly sick weapons in ToB just waiting for you to get your little mitts on amd your sorceror will kick arse at 30th level-if he/she doesn't you've picked the wrong spells ![]() |

1. you can access WK any time during SoA. a green party might be able to handle the first level at about level 9. some very nice items early if you can hack it.
2. there are no NPC quests in ToB, although there is a new NPC you might want to leave room for (fighter). 3. no idea. when you choose an ability it's just like picking spells for your mage at the beginning; you can look at all of their descriptions. 4. there are sweet weapons of practically every type in ToB, especially a 2H sword and long sword. 5. as already said, with the right spells a high level sorcerer is as close to unstoppable a character there is. |
