I seem to remember someone asking for idea's of new kits for him too make somewhere on this forum. cant remember where though but i had an idea for one and thought i'd post it. I've a feeling this ones been done before though.
Demon Spawn. (fighter) This unfortunate has demon ancestry, resulting from an unholy union in his/her families past. While stronger and more in-tune with the nature of magic this person cannot control the inherent demonic tendencies that ancestry introduces. Abilities. (in no particular order) Can cast Horror once per day for every 2 levels. Infravision. +1 str +2 con -4 car +2 bonus lore/lvl At 13th lvl gains the Death Gaze ability (Save v death at +1 or die, 20ft range, casting time 2) once per day. Can cast twice a day at 20th level, 3 at 25th lvl. At 10th lvl opponents under 8 hit die must save v spells or run in fear. At 15th lvl opponents under 13 hit die must save v spells or run in fear. At 12th lvl gains an extra +1 str At 12th lvl Gains a +1 Ac (becoming more demonic with inc levels, leathery skin) Further +1 bonus every 3 levels. +4 to all saves. At 20th lvl starts to gain spells according to bard spell progression (i.e treat as bard lvl 1). Cannot know spells above 6th level. Max 5 spells known/level regardless of int. Can cast spells in armour. + 1 move at night or when underground. Restrictions. (in no particular order) Must be of Evil alignment. If party rep is above 12 suffer 1d3 damage/lvl/hour, slowed, -1 thac0, -1 ac If party rep is 20 for more than 1 day Demon spawn must make a save every hour or die. Cannot be resurected. suffer -1 to hit and -1 ac against paladins. -1 move during the day (only if outside) Can be turned by Clerics. If protection from evil is cast on the demon spawn it will have the effect of a greater malaison spell AND confusion that lasts as long as the protection from evil spell would have. Demons will always regard demon spawn as an enemy and will target him/her for attacks in preference of other targets. (blood war) So what do ya think? Did i put enough restrictions on the kit to balance it out? I've a feeling this ons more of a race thing than a kit, but i thought i'd put the idea out there anyway. Any other kit idea's out there? yeahn that's true
it sound nice Balanced i dunno maybe a bit stronger then a regulair class BUT it'll be almost impossible to make because of some of the cons ------------------ ![]() I'm Watching you... ![]() |
