I started to ToB, player for a hour or two. Of course, it's good to have a expansion but I'm a little bit disapointed. This game takes place in a land of wasteland, darker, darker and darker. I miss Athlatka specially Tradeemet, Wauken Promenade.. These places were full of joy, green, happiness. But ToB sounds a little bit powerplay/hack&slash specially with high level and feats. Do you agree? Or am I at only beginning and later I'll have fun?

(kinda)

you're kinda right, there _is_ more hack'n'slash in ToB then in SOA. ToB is pretty straight forward. there aren't too many side quests. But, among all that killing there is a lot of puzzles to solve and stuff. and there _is_ a LOT of fun stuff. Especially in Watcher's Keep.

I haven't played through ToB completely, but I have finished (almost) Watcher's Keep and it is as fun or more fun than any area in SoA. Cool, memorable characters, nice architecture, neat items.. Good stuff.

It is getting *darker* because after all, the Bhaal spawn are rising and you are getting closer to you heritage.

I think ToB r a little to dark...SoA is better..u get involved in more ppl and places like the UnderDark and The Elven City (forgot the name) is just to fun to play. ToB is almost in 1 way Diablo like...u cant take 10 steps before running into someone something to fight. but it is still alot of fun. Especially Watcherskeep (which i am playing in SoA with Lv 13 Chars).

They made the story that way... anyway, your rep in Athkatla won't count anymore coz everyone knows now you are one of Bhaal's children, and coz of the Five, the whole worlds in turmoil. So you have to end tihs and get on with your already paused life. What is there to discover? you know everything by now...

Also your characters are high-leveled in ToB, it makes the game a little boring. I mean it's always more enjoying and challenging to play with a low level party (like level 13 party in watchers keep you choose your proficiencies and dream about higher levels dream about being specialized with the weapon you're proficient. Dreaming about the items you're searching. That's another factor.
