This same question has probably asked many times before; Is the Throne of Bhaal expansion worth buying? I'm hesitant to do so, as the only local place I can find it sells it for about 40 bucks, and my savings are near depleted at this point. Will your SoA side storylines (romances and such) continue into ToB? Roughly, how many more gaming hours does it provide? I'd appreciate any feedback from those who have it.

You will really enjoy it.
It is more than an expansion, it is the conclusion to the story. Between 40-50 hours of fun is anticipated, depending on your play style. ------------------ ![]() Father of the wickedly cute child known as MaryBeth ![]() |

Thats cool. Most expansions I've bought so far are usually just more of the same. I was pissed when I finished the Diablo II expansion, it seemed like it was rushed along and thrown on the shelves as fast as they could just to make more money. If ToB adds an extra 50 or so hours, then I'm gonna be sitting at my computer all day for yet a longer time to come.

Lord of Destruction and Throne of Bhaal aren't even comparable! Throne of Bhaal finishes the story, not just for you, but for all of your NPC companions as well. The special abilities are really fun (and powerful), and everyone gets a super-weapon as well. So, powergamers and plot lovers are equally pleased. Save your money for this one.

I have to add a big thumbs up for ToB. It is well worth buying as it is truly an epic conclusion to the saga. Yes, romances are continued (and concluded) in ToB, so long as they were followed to a certain point in SoA.
Not only to you get all the cool new areas specific to ToB, you also get the fantastic Watcher's Keep, which is a well constructed (and lengthy) dungeon. ------------------ "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure." |

I think that the games have held a good value all through the series and TOB is no exception. I think you will enjoy it alot. Much better than the LOD expansion in that way, though LOD gave Diablo II a new way of playing through the game. TOB is a must if you have played through the first too games. And you will like it! Hehe! Will not tell you too much of all the fun that awaits you!
