There are no voice sounds in any of my cutscenes. The little words are above peoples heads, but no sound, though the ambient sound still plays, as do dialog voices. I know that the Faster Chap. 1&2 Cutscenes component removes these because it adds "humerous" subtitles, but I haven't had this installed and I just did a reinstall of BG2. Is there any other mod that would ruin these?

Have you checked the "movie volume" slider under Options==>Sounds?

One of the many options is to have the movies with subtitles. This *may* disable sound for the movies, though I am not sure. Hope this helps.

Every once in a while I get the random snippit from the sounds, most often from Irenicus, but sometimes others too.
