I used the search button, but found nothing.

Trolls?
Golems?
Ogres?

Giants, Ogres, I'm assuming Trolls and Golems but they might be in a different thing.

Ok but if we do not guess, what kind of monsters are they?

I don't think they're golems... It could be trolls, but I doubt it. Giants and ettins, though, seem most likely. Is it way bigger than your character? It's probably giantkin.

Giantkin = related to giants = Giants and Ettins

In other words, forget about the THAC0/Damage bonus, you'll never see it. It's just a +1 Hammer that can hit pretty much any creature in the game.

Untrue, even in the standard game you have to fight at least one gaintkin if you take a certain route through the main quest.

And if you've got ToB you'll see that bonus for certain, if you don't choose to trade up, but most people trade up with ToB since there are so many "better" weapons out there.

Ok thanks. I sold it.

If someone remembers, try testing it on that irongolem in the middle of the room in D'arnises hold.

Since it's got a +4 in the weapon, it can be used against things that require a +4 to hit it, even if the said monster isn't a giant.

For instance, this weapon will hurt Kangaax.

I don't know what the weapon is doing in Baldur's Gate 1 though. Makes no sense AFAIK

From monster manual: giants, ettins, trolls and ogres (even more, but I do not think they are in the game)
