When solo sorc'ing, how do you stop from getting owned by things like: confusion, domination, stun, feeblemind, sleep, and all that bad stuff?

edit- i will also possibly be playing in tob, but im not sure about that (ToB is installed though)

Spell Immunity, Ring of Free Action, Potions of Clarity, Magic Resistance, Invisibility, summon fodder, Saving Throws, etc... ...

Foreknowledge and understanding it is still the best prevention though.

Wizard's Eye is the cheapest way to avoid them. Send it in before you, let the casters waste their spells on it, and then go in.

You can also use Improved Invisibility type spells to prevent them from targeting you.

Don't forget Globe of Invulnerability to avoid those area of effect spells (confusion, chaos, etc). Use Spell Immunity or Spell Turning to avoid those single target spells (domination, charm, power words).

Erm... are you sure that you want to solo? Soloing without adequate foreknowledge is like driving a 18-wheeler on a coastal cliff road at 60mph, blindfolded and without brake fluids.

haha ya i wanna solo. Im hoping that as I go by the game, I'll remember things before they happen. It's been a pretty long time since i was back in chapter 2. In my main game, minsc has the ring of free action... I just don't know where he got it .

No, you don't. Trust me, you don't. Unless you're a masochist who actually enjoys getting the snot beat out of him a dozen times a night....even if we DID give you direct spoilers like the locations of unique items, you'd have to stop and ask for advice on every little thing, and nobody, not even you, wants to sit through that.

Just play through with a party again and re-learn the game. It's more fun than playing solo, believe me.
