Choices, Thieves or Shady Character?

Well, ive just finished up the De'Arnise quest, got my new castle, being polished up as I speak. On my way back to the adventurers mart, a shady character asked me to meet her mistress at the graveyard, and to ignore those that have already offered to help me. Then, Gael's bratty son, of course is snooping around and says that his father is ready to sweeten the deal. Lo' and behold his "bosses" have dropped the price tag by 5,000 gold.

Now, do I go and meet the mistress at the graveyard to see what she has to offer? Or continue with the thieves, that seem to be acting very pecuilar? *sigh*, can anyone hint me in a good direction?

Depends on what alignment you're playing. Generally speaking, any good (and many neutral) characters can justify going to meet this shady character... but the good-aligned choice will quickly become obvious.

enjoy what sounds like your first trip through Amn - try not too come back her to often and get spoiled

If a woman named Valen tells you her mistress wants to meet you, you only have three days (or two nights, actually) to go talk to her, before she calls it off. Also, when you meet her mistress, you will have to decide whether you want to accept her quest then and there—there is no "maybe" or "we'll get back to you on that" with this woman. Also, you will not be able to accept the mistress's quest if your PC is a Thief—she doesn't trust Thieves.
