I have installed the tactics mod and Dungeon be gone. I skip Illyich and Company (i do have it installed, maybe i will pent up my courage someday and try to kill him), and go straight to the exit. Then i go to the circus. When i sleep at the circus (in the bridge room or in the Aerie room) i am attacked by shadow thieves and war dogs. That is Weeeeeeiiiiiirrrrrrrddddd.
Also, when i recruit Arie, she has her armour placed in the quick item slot.

I don't recall Tactics enhancing The Circus that much, but The Circus needed enhancing. It was way too easy in normal BG2. I'm guessing this shadow-thief encounter was a Tactics Random encountered by resting. So consider yourself Tactic'd and be grateful for the experience. If you've just now started with Tactics on, be prepared for many more unexpected episodes like that.
The other thing you mentioned was weeeeiiirder. Armor in a quick slot? I haven't seen that.

That is odd, Black Baron. The thief and war dogs were the designated "random encounter" that occurred after every rest (after your first) in Chateau Irenicus thanks to Tactics Mod. But these encounters NEVER occurred after the Chateau and have since been replaced with the Duergar Mage and Proletariat duo.
Since your first rest is supposed to be "free" even with Tactics installed, I'd say you are definitely getting some very weird bug. And I don't even have a clue as to what is allowing Aerie to store armor in a QuickSlot.

Here's my weird bug for the day: We've just gotten back to Athkatla in Chapter 6. We've suffered through the pretty-much requisite (for an Evil party) string of battles: Drizzt, followed immediately by Harpers and Cowled Wizards at the same time, followed immediately by Githyanki and 3rd set of Random City Bandits at the same time (a long, convoluted battle during which Jan pulled off not one but two beautiful instakilling Critical Sextuples).
Feeling rather worn out from all of that, we head for the Copper Coronet. We don't notice anything amiss until we wander upstairs to check on Llynis....and who should walk up us but Yoshimo! Alive! and in Chapter SIX! At least what he had to say to us was somewhat understandable: He gave the standard "No redemptions, no second chances. Let us get this over with!" spiel, and attacked, leading us to carve out some of his vital organs. Thinking: What caused this? I booted him from the party over by Madam Nin, but then told him to wait in the Copper Coronet--somehow, this prevents his autodeath script? Bizarre.
