Is there any way i can stop my reputation from turning into popular, without having to kill peasants and commoners? I want to do every quest, but when finishing certain quests you get reputation boosts. Because i have Korgan and Viconia in my party, i won't be able to finish them all without Viccy and Korgy leaving the group. Any help would be appreciated.

Just be nasty once in a while.

Complete a quest an 'evil' way, kill a peasant, turn into the Slayer once or twice.

No biggie.

EDIT that post, Dace... Not everyone's gotten to that point in the game.

As for you, Stockholm, every now and then demand a reward when you finish a quest, or, like Dace suggested, break into a house and kill a peasant if your rep gets too high.

Well, since my main character is in adventuring only for the profits and doesn't give a damn for the lives of other people, there's no problem here. Thanks for your replies guys.

If all else fails, get caught shoplifting (preferably from one of those shops where you'd never want to buy something anyway, because they'll remain hostile).

Enge from Waukeen's Promenade comes to mind. Steal something from him, then run before the guards come. Then, if rep reaches too high later, return and kill the guards. Later on, you can come back and kill Enge himself.

As far as I can tell, that's why poor Enge was put into the game.

If you're not interested in romancing Viccy then when your rep gets to 19, drop her, tell her to wait where she is, then add her back into the party. Droping Viccy adds +2 to your rep, but it maxes at 20, adding her back removes 2 from your rep, so 20 becomes 18.

Does a high charisma prevent NPC from getting upset about the party's reputation?

I would have thought that with a "soft stat" like charisma, if it was getting close to 25 it should have extreme modifiers to NPC's state of mind
