I want to topple Kangaxx in chapter 3

Where can I find weapons that can hit him?

I currently have Carsomyr and the Staff of the Magi (but I hope Edwin won't be trying to physically hit this guy). I have ToB installed, and can take a trip to the Watcher's Keep.

Don't go to WK now, especially considering that you're in ch 3. Carsomyr will hit Kangaxx just fine. Are you playing improved kangaxx? If you're not and you want a cheesey way of killing his lich form, set traps in front of his tomb before giving raising him. But then you've got to worry about his demi-lich form. Spell Trap (Staff of the Magic can cast it once) will protect Edwin for up to 3 or 4 imprisonments, but that's all. A protection from magic scroll is the cheesiest/easiest way to kill him. Just stick everyone in a corner farthest from Kangaxx except for whoever is wielding Carsomyr +5. Have that person wielding the sword use a protection from magic scroll and then go fight Kangaxx. You'll be immune to all his magic (including imprisonment)

Melf's Meteors will work on him as well, and there's a cloak you can find that creates 6 +5 darts per day. The ring of ram is also very good for knocking off a chunk of his hps.

Unless you're willing to waste a PfM scroll to defeat Kangaxx the Demi-Lich, you have to take him out with Edwin, since, I assume, he's the only one in your party who can cast Spell Immunity. With SI: Abjuration and Death Ward on, he's completely invulnerable to Kangaxx. As Olorin said, MMM is the best weapon against him, at least with Edwin, and THAC0 will cease to be a problem if you buff him up with stuff like a Potion of Power, Potions of Mind Focusing (increases DEX, which increases Missile THAC0 modifier), Aid, and Champions Strength.
