I'm soloing a sorcress right now, i'm level 28 and i'm not even through underdark. I'm thinkin about getting a cap-remover but whats the point in that? this far i only get to choose two more spells(one level 8, and one level 9) which i will definetly not need and i get 1+ hp and 1+lore every level, will there be anything else with the cap remover?

plus, it already kinda feels like cheating, there's hardly any challange left in the game, nothing can beat a 28 level sorcress, not anything i've met this far atleast, granted i havent played through all of ToB.

This feels weird since i'm not really a powergamer nor a roleplayer. I enjoy discovering new things and evolving my characters. But i doubt that there is that much more to discover for me and my charachter feels as powerful as she can be, since i've found all the equiment i need.

ehh, basically should I get an exp cap remover and what would be the benifits?

on a side note though, i do really enjoy going around under the SoTMs invisibility and torturing my enemys to death

Yeah. That`s the thing with the Sorceres. Start (ab)using Project Image and the game gets boring. But the fun is when you blast everything into oblivion.

yeah, i mean shouldent the "no summoning limit for projected images" be considerd a bug and be fixed in the patch?

ofcourse i could just count the summons and not summon anymore than five but i just don't have that kind of control over myself

There's a cap remover included in the Ease-of-Use mod--you can find it on the mod sticky thread at the top of the forum page. Install that and the game still caps experience at around ~8 million, but that means you're level 40. And there's nothing a level 40 mage can't survive in this game.

If you do install the cap remover AND have ToB installed, you get a few more bonuses for being a high-level character. (I won't spoil any more than that--and I hope nobody else will either! ) If you don't have ToB installed, then you're only going to get 1 HP, 3 lore, and maybe a few new spell slots if you install the cap remover.

Well i am level 28, i already have all of the HLA's... Can't get any more...

i know that the exp cap remover will give me one extra level 8 and 9 spell but besides that, is there anything more than one hp and one lore per level past the legal exp limit?
Well, I just installed the level 50 cap for my solo mage (i just got tired of not levelling up!) and upon moving from level 40 to 41 (about half way through ToB) i got an extra four spell slots per level. I'm still trying to figure out whether that's right or not, it seems far too uniform, although maybe it was catching up. But it's allowed me to add a second time stop and Imp Alacracity so it definitely helps for me, although I guess being a sorcerer you don't have that problem...

EDIT - don't do it! Just moved from level 41 to 42 and lost all of my mage spells!

shamrock, you sure you got 4 spell slots/spell level? Or 4 total slots?
Anyway, if you lost them at your level up, it means that it was a bug. At each level up, the game checks to make sure you have the correct number of slots for your level, and adds/removes some if there are any missing/extra.

Yes, it was literally an extra four/level...so four level 1, 2, 3...right up to 9. And yes, i figured that, i deleted the relevent files in the override folder, and installed the XP cap remover in EaseofUse. I'm stuck at level 41 now, but at least all my spells are back

Then you're basically playing with cheated stats. You might as well have used SK if you wanted the spells so badly. Having lots of spells per lvl isn't necessary to beat the game, and I gaurantee you that you won't use most of the spell slots that you have between each time you rest.
