i'm trying to create an *Original* character for my new Bg II game...yes again i know...but would anyof you know where i can get some npc voice sets...

You can look in the sticky FAQ for soundset links, or type "BG2 soundsets" into your favorite search engine, or even brave FilePlanet for downloads. It's pretty much a crapshoot whichever one you do--I haven't found a decent multipurpose soundset outside the ones for modded NPCs.

Anyone can do it. It's not that difficult. But what do you mean, make your own? I've taken sounds from BG1, BG2, and IWD to make my own custom soundset... I'd imagine it would be fairly simple to use sounds from NWN... Why do you ask? I'm not sure where the question is going...

If you could find actual sounds, I would do it for you. I have neither the movies nor recording equipment, so I can't take them myself.

The sound quality is better (well, excellent) if you use industry standard mics and professional audio recording equipment, but the dinky little $3 mic on my computer and the Windows-version sound recorder came up with some interesting clips. It's like portraits--you don't need fancy stuff to do cool things. [img]smile.gif[/img] (I'm encouraging everyone to do this now, since there are so many portrait sites and so few soundset sites.)
