OK, right now i'm pretty annoyed, ive had yoshimo, nalia and imoen in my party.
before some tricky fights iv'e tried to set some snares to help me out, but iv'e only been able to set one once, and that was with yoshimo, every other time it has said "set snare failed". I must have tried it about 50 times now, why is this?? it is really frustrating, ive tried to set them on open floors, in doorways and on containers and doors but no...

as far as i know i'm fully patched. (baldurdash and official).

what am i doing wrong?

simple, youre thieves dont have enough points in "set traps". You can put points into it when your thief levels up(note: Nalia and Imoen have dual-classed to mages, so they're stuck with whatever points they have).

How many skill points do you have in Set Snares? Nalia and Imoen have poor skills for set snares, if memory serves. It fails if your points aren't that high.

Also, you can't set them if anyone hostile is around.

well, you can, but its really cheesy...

you can boost nalia's and imoen's trap skills using potions of master thievery, mercykiller ring, and blue potions that increase dexterity...other items and potions can help...

if you want to make traps a part of your gaming strategy, get jan...
