what BG2 are you playing at the mo'?

what are you currently playing BG2-wise?

my main game is a swashbuckler (10) dualled to fighter who has just got his thief skills (and 2 weapon fighting [img]smile.gif[/img] ) back - he's running round with Minsc and Jahiera at the moment and now he's off to resuce Imoen - i'm enjoying it so far

my latest abondoned game is a solo Kensai (13)->Thief which is indeed faintly ridiculous - I abandoned him in spellhold shortly after UAI and the first spike trap - in fact that's mainly why i did a swashbuckler->fighter dual this time - no skills points in traps, no backstab, and no trap HLAs - i guess i'm just to undsicplined to not overdo the traps

solo archer in the character of a lone hunter with hunter style weapons (knife, spear) is on the back burner

what about you folks?

I have many games "on hold".

• Solo Blade level 50 somewhere in ToB
• Solo Cleric/Ranger-no realoads- somewhere in SoA
• Solo Genric Archer->Mage on the beggining
• Dual Weilder`s party somewhere in SoA
• Races party-just before Improved Sendai in ToB
• No Reloads party-in the Nine Hells. I failed on the end of the game! [img]graemlins/madhell.gif[/img]

I think that is all I can remember at the moment.

Brendan Dualed in the Sahuagin City--now he's working for Matron Ardulace and is already Thief Level 12.

Hemorrhoids: Wild Mage, beginning of ToB
Kyrenia: Ranger/Cleric, beginning of ToB
(These were my first 3 games with Tactics installed, hence the powergaming PCs.)

It's not bad--just really, really weird. And, clearly, it's not for everyone.

WILD MAGE
ADVANTAGES:

• Gets up to 6 spellslots of every spell level, with no Opposition School
• Nahal's Reckless Dweomer: A Level 1 spell that allows the Wild Mage to cast any known spell (even those he is not yet capable of casting normally), although it automatically causes a Wild Surge*. Also, Nahal's Reckless Dweomer ignores the "1-spell-per-round" rule, so it's a poor man's Improved Alacrity.
• Chaos Shield (Level 4) and Improved Chaos Shield (Level 7) reduce the odds of your Wild Surges* having harmful effects.

DISADVANTAGES:

• Wild Surges: Each spell cast by the Wild Mage has a 5% chance of causing a Wild Surge, with random results--anything from having the spell cast normally and re-memorizing all spells, to turning the Wild Mage to stone, to a cow falling from the sky and landing on someone's head.
• Varied Casting Levels: The power of most spells is determined by the caster's Experience level. With Wild Mages, however, their casting level varies: Each spell is randomized, so their casting level could be 4 levels lower than the Wild Mage's actual level, 4 levels higher than his level, or anywhere in between.
• Wild Mages cannot Dual or Multi-class.

Hemorrhoids is your Wild Mage's name? Is that because he is a pain in the butt?

Current game on hold is an evil Necromancer. I am actually thinking of deleting this one, playing through BG1 as evil (never did it before), and bring the character over into BG2.
