Why won't priests talk to me? (spoilers!)

I'm starting chapter 6 of the game, and would like to take Yoshi's heart to a priest to redeem him. However, whenever I go into the Temple of Illmater (both in Promenade and Slums), none of the priests will talk to me! I'm a ranger/cleric and I finished the seeing eye quest and received favor from another temple. Is that why? I tried to get Keldorn to do it, too, and nothing! Don't tell me I'm screwed on these XP points!

Try downloading the latest patch... Are the priests the only ones who won't speak to you? There's a common bug that involves many NPCs not talking to you. It's certainly not a plot-related thing.

I defnitely have all the patches. And, yup, it's just the priests of Ilmater who won't talk. Argh!

Ah. Okay, I started part of the game over (from the point when I immediately return from the Underworld). Originally, I had headed to Umar Hills to fulfill my job as their ranger, then went to save Yoshi. When I did it immediately, the thing worked. Does Yoshi's quest have a time limit or something? Even so, why wouldn't the priests even talk to me? Is it worth me continuing now or can I just CLUA the experience points to my party and start my game where I left off the first time? I really don't want to fight the Shadow Dragon again if I don't have to!

That's extremely strange. Do you have any mods or custom files installed?
(And personally, I'd love to fight the Shadow Dragon again... unless of course I barely escaped alive.)
And no, the quest has no time limit that I am aware of. I've gone for weeks after leaving the Underdark before I remember, oh yes, I need to fulfill my lost comrade's dying wish... Oops.

Hm, that's really bizarre then. I don't have any mods or custom files installed, just the patches and the Baldurdash one. I did end up just continuing with the second version, and haven't gone to kill the Shadow Dragon yet (didn't feel like it). The only thing I could think of is that there was a time limit, but if you're saying there isn't, then... [img]graemlins/1ponder.gif[/img] Weird, I tell ya.
