Is it true that u cannot go to the gnoll fortress encampment in BG1 if the game has been burnt?

Firstly, this should realy be in the BG1 forum - not the BG2 forum.
Secondly,
If you have a burned copy yourself, go try it; if you don't, what's it matter?

That's not true. A copy should be identical to the original. There might be copy detection preventing the game to start, but once started, the game should be the same, unless it's corrupted.

BG1 has zero copy protection, all it does is check for the presence of the CD.

No weak sectors, no bit patterns designed to confuse the encoder chip, no nothing. If your copy is defective - even with an unprotected CD, there are things that can go wrong), the gnoll stronghold area file may be corrupted, but it could be any file.

Whoa, whoa, let's backpedal a bit here. What are you trying to imply when you said, "has been burnt"? Bear in mind our Forum's policies.
