Underdark: Kar -tur (sp?) sacrafice ***Spoilers Wanted***

I'm in the underdark, and i've cleared out that are to the west, where all them fishilike creatures and whatnot are, and, there's an altar where you're supposed to "sacrafice" something, and I thought it was supposed to be the Kar-tur prince's blood, but nothing seems to happen when I set it on the ground at the altar?? I forgot what I need to do here?

IIRC, the clues (just click on anything clickable in the room and you'll get enough clues) mention what you have to sacrifice there. The prince's blood is quest item, not to be sacrificed there.
a hint, both cleric and mage can help you with that.

Funny story; I couldn't remeber what to do, so I killed one of my own guys on the altar... but that didn't work

it's animal to be sacrificed there...either cleric or mage can summon animals.
btw, the fight after the sacrfice can be extremely tough if you're not prepared.

yeah, I sacraficed a buddy... thnaks, but when you hinted that a mage or cleric would help, that reminded me.
