I am just about to do the Lady Galvena's Festhall quest and I heard that you were able to interact somehow with the persons in the kitchen if you did the quest in the correct order (otherwise they just get scared and flee).

How exactly should I do this quest to get the most out of it? I've heard that it was a bit non-intuitive.

Get into the brothel by buying your way in with the prostitute. Talk to her in her room and she'll tell you about the guards and give you some sedative. Then go to the kitchen and threaten the guards away if you encounter them. now say pretty please to the cook and she'll spike their beer. I'm not sure however if this way does require a certain Charisma of you

1. do the Ginia quest first, to get a key item + XP,
2. maybe, not sure, but maybe your rep. and charisma will affect whether you can get it right
3. but at any rate, tell the courtesan outside that you intend to end Galvena's evil business. she'll help you out from there. this is all about how you converse with her.
