Everyone knows how cool the Celestial Fury is, but it feels like you shouldn't get it if you have a good alignment. I mean you go crash that wizards house in the Temple District and he asks you to leave. If you say ok sorry (like most good hearted people would), he says ok apology accepted but I warn you not to intrude again or whatever. A perfectly reasonable thing to say.

I was wondering if the sword is part of any quest anywhere? I can't roleplay a good character and kill all the people in the house just for a sword.

I believe that the compound was part of an unfinished quest involving the slavers, twisted rune, and a bunch of other stuff. Good people shouldn't raid the house...unless they're chaotic good and find out that the owners are evil and must be destroyed.

Unfortunately, the quest for the Guarded Compound was cut, it will be addressed in the upcoming Unfinished Business mod by icelus, I believe. In the meantime, try creating your own roleplay. Perhaps charm a wizard in the slaver ship, get him to tell you who his overbosses are. If you know who they are, and what their intentions are, you can thereafter roleplay almost any alignment, and the only one I can think of as a problem would be true neutral.

well...why TN cannot roleplay to get CFury?

my current PC is a TN F/M...when we got into the compound (well, didn't have time to charm the slaver wizard since we were too busy trying to survive and kill them)...those people were kinda rude, we just walked in to see what the place was...and so I was not really happy about it, jokingly said "teach me the lesson then."

they dimension doored away, and summoned serveral vicious creatures...well, that led my group to pondered "what is going on in this place"?

so we killed every hostle being in the compound...and in the end, didn't find out what was going on...another [maybe seemingly] pointless battle our way to rescue Imone...the good thing is that we get a nice weapon^_*

Good point. I mean, it's perfectly possible, just that TN is arguably the hardest alignment to roleplay, period.

I look forwards to the unfinished business mod then Any links to where it I can find it when it's finished would be most helpful Till then I just can't justify taking the katana with any good party :/ I am soloing with a f/t/m and decided that since I have been short of patience with many of NPC's so far he should be chaotic neutral. He trys to be good, but is very unpredictable and has done some bad things

err...on this page, you can find a thread about the unfinished business mod, started by the author himself. check it out and you should find the link to the forum. Also, if you dig back several pages, you can find a great thread in which many people contributed to the mod = how much unfinished business there is in SoA

as for aligment...I like TN, imo, more tricky and unpredictable than chaotic netural, since the belief is that good and evil are NECESSARY to each other, sometimes we maybe good and sometimes we maybe evil...seeking the balance and will act as counter-force from time to time.

If you have Nalia in the party for a while, you will eventually find an in-game reason to enter the Guarded Compound and investigate.
