Is it somekind of mod or..? does it combine all the baldurs gate series (BG + Expansion and BG II + Expansion) together?

Exactly! Baldur's Gate Trilogy is a BG2 mod that adds BG1+TotSC to BG2+ToB (you need to own all three games though to make the install work)
I'm currently downoading it so I can't tell much about how buggy it is or what's new but I know a few things.
It is completely based on BG2 so the graphics will be according. It also allows you to play a character kit (e.g. Kensai) through BG1 because of that. Finally I think they also added in some other smaller BG2 mods.

BTW does anybody know where I can get the "Spine of the World" mod (which inserts IWD into BG2) or is it just not done yet.

P.S.: try the TeamBG site for more information

Yea I heard something a few months ago about that, I thought it was in its beta versions... but it is completed already?

DANG!.. how big is the download ?

And is it worth to download because if its buggy like The Darkest Day i'll pass it.

Did anybody tested it? if it is any good?

the download is about 1 gig (YES! 1 GIGABYTE) and it also is only available on some rare ftp-servers and IRC. I'm trying it out anyway. Always wanted to be a Cavalier or an Assassin in BG1.

I heard it implements all SoA rules, including classes and better resolutions to BG1...#$%^&, how it would turn out if you solo a sorcerer from BG1@"@

Try this
http://www.teambg.net/forum/?board=9...;threadid=9360
thread in the TeamBG forum. The online ftps should be posted there. And you can also try IRC (I never get along with it though)

All the FTPs, especialy the teambg file sharing server, are busy at all times, if you can make IRC work I recommend you use that. (And if you have a 24/7 high bandwidth connection without an upload cap, serving the files once you have them is a good thing to do)

As for how buggy it is, the only game breaking bug I ran into was at the transition from BG1 to TotSC (in BGT, those run sequentialy rather than TotSC happening during BG1) when belt kept using the wrong dialogue and I had to mess around and rewrite some scripts to get past. Havent finished TotSC yet, but I hear the TotSC->SoA transition works, there was a bug a de'arnise that should be fixed by now, and (I think) BG1 NPCs will make the crossing to BG2 but do not have new dialogues, banters, romances, quests, or anything that makes them interesting.

There are a lot of graphical glitches in some areas, most of them are fixed in the patches.

the bugs get fixed in the patches though and if u dl the new version u only need to get 3 or so of the patches instead of th e12 that u need with the old one (the one i have) IM quite far into bg1 (exploring everysingle area with my amazing barbarian) Id totally recommend it. Does anyone know if spine of the world is compatible with bgt?
