I have a p4 1.6gig 512RAM
Geforce 4 TI 4600
I have turned off enhanced pathfinding or reduce it down to 350000
I do have a MEMTURBO running (frees up RAM program)
so y is still laaagyy in certain parts?
I am not sure if this has anything to do with it but ever since I picked up the robe or cloak that makes u almost like IMMUNE to every spell(except for area effect spells), the one with a shimmering globe surrounding u.
U can tell there is a slight lag when walking from one direction to another point on the map (it is not in perfect flow)

Any ideas? Is there anything else I can do or have to set in the CONFIG?

THANKS

Try turning 3d acceleration off. If you dont have good openGL drivers, it has been known to actualy slow the game down.

With 512 Megs of Ram, your MEMTURBO proggy is actually completely useless.

And try to cast timestop + improved alacrity and then cast as many magic missiles as you can (more then 5 times anyways) and watch your PC crumble to a Texas instrument calculator......

Did you do a full installation? That improves the game speed greatly.

yeah it is already a full installation yes....

yeah becos I noticed me cuz had win98 and played this game he experienced no lags in the flow of walking....
But I now have winxp, and the open GLSETUP or 3dsetup that i clicked from the CONFIG to register and download the latest drivers for it is unsupported?

so is there another way around this? or do I have to just switch off 3d acceleration???

Try switching 3d acceleration off then...btw, What's your resolution at? BEcause when i tried switching mine to higher than 800x600, it started lagging.

My desktop resolution is 1024 x 768 but not in gameplay...800 x 600

I went to NVIDIA and downloaded the latest drivers for my video card...(for WINXP compatible mode)
think that has helped a bit not sure...
I have a 3D video card y do I need to turn of 3D acceleration?
Does anyone else have this problem or laaaagggy is certain areas of the game?

I have celeron 333, 288 Mb RAM.. GeForce 2 MX 200 if you care

The game was so ever laggy that I was thinking on giving it up.. but when I tried to turn 3d acceleration off, it went on with NO LAG AT ALL!! Even at my comp..

Try that, and nevermind the acceleration - 2d engine, such as InfinityEngine, does not depend on 3d acceleration as 3d games do In fact, it has almost nothing to do with 3d acceleration

ADD]Lots of animations on screen will lag the game. My game crashes if I ever cast more than 3 magic missiles in time stop... And imagine all the lag that I experience when time stop runs out and artillery of multiple ADHWs, FoDs, Greater Malisons, Lower Resistances, Chromatic Orbs whatever else strikes the poor victim??

The globe animation of The Cloack of Cheese Mirroring is also a resource-consuming animation... and, after all, do not expect much from xp Its still windows, mind that
